I am lost at sea on a ship with no sail.

Drifting away from reality, my bones getting caught in the wind.

Ballasts breaking, inevitably so

I have been here for quite some time. Your name replacing my reflection as I float beyond my empty dreams.

Years pass by and I wonder what life is like on shore. Do you take long walks through the sand, picking up shells as you go, and wonder what it’s like out here? I’ll tell you. It’s lonely. Even the seagulls don’t fly this far, and the dolphins turned around months ago. I have stranded myself on this void of a sea and I have no way of returning home. If this letter finds you, it is certainly too late for me. Remember me when you get tired of hearing the same old things.
